Discovered at Budgewoi on the Central Coast of NSW this strange little spider is one of two representatives of Dolophones found here so far. Between 5 and 10mm in size D. turrigera seems to have the same behaviour as the better known D. conifera. Both are known as Wrap-around-spiders and can be found clinging to a twig during the day and making a web at night.
Thanks to Ron Atkinson for his efforts identifying this one and Robert Whyte for follow up and final notes
